The lid fits snug enough that I can't smell my jasmine tea through the metal, which is exactly what I wanted. My cupboard finally looks tidy with all the loose leaf moved out of crinkly bags.
Bought two of these to finally get my tea shelf under control and the difference is real — the loose leaf that used to go stale in a week still tastes fresh after a month. The metal blocks out light completely, which is exactly what my old glass jars weren't doing.
I've been storing my loose leaf in this for a few weeks and the tea still smells as fresh as the day I opened the bag. The metal actually blocks out light like it claims, which is more than my old glass jar ever did.
