I was skeptical about an herbal tea actually helping me wind down, but after a cup an hour before bed I'm out cold. The valerian root gives it a slightly earthy taste, so I add a little honey.
The valerian root really does the trick — I sip a cup about an hour before bed and the racing thoughts quiet down. Taste is earthy and a bit grassy, but a little honey fixes that.
