The tea leaves are a beautiful deep green and have a very fresh, almost grassy aroma when you open the bag. I've been steeping it for about three minutes and the flavor is smooth with no bitterness. Really nice for a quiet afternoon.
The whole leaf unfurls nicely in my glass pot, and the second steep still tastes like something. It's the kind of loose leaf that makes the extra rinsing worth it.
I've been buying loose leaf for years and the quality of this one genuinely surprised me. The leaves are whole and large rather than the dusty broken stuff you get in most bags, and one spoonful gives me a solid three steeps without going bitter.
