It's genuinely heavier than I expected, which makes it feel substantial in my hands, and the ribbed texture really does mimic a cozy sweater. I keep reaching for it for my morning tea just because the tactile feel is so satisfying.
The ribbing is deep enough that my fingers rest right in the grooves, which makes holding it feel oddly secure. It's also lighter than I expected for such a chunky-looking mug, so my morning coffee doesn't feel like a workout.
The ribbed texture makes it feel like I'm holding a warm knit sweater while I sip my morning coffee, and the sesame grey is even softer in person than in the photos. It's quickly become the mug I reach for every single day.
