The borosilicate glass is surprisingly sturdy and handles boiling water without any cracking. I steep my oolong in it every morning and the plunger filters out the leaves cleanly. Watching the leaves unfurl through the glass is a nice little ritual too.
Ice cold brew in this thing is a game changer, I leave it in the fridge overnight and the glass never clouds or holds onto yesterday's tea smell. The mesh filter catches even the fine bits, so no gritty last sip.
